The Plano Independent School District, which is a public school district, has students from parts of Dallas, Richardson, Allen, Murphy, and Parker. The school system differs from most of the schools in the United States. They have elementary schools and middle schools are like the other schools in the United States, but the system differs with ninth through twelfth grades. Ninth and Tenth graders attend high school, and the eleventh and twelfth grade students attend senior high school. Southern Methodist University, which has campuses in Dallas, Plano, and Taos, New Mexico, is a private university for both men and women. A few of the students claim they attend the Methodist church, and more than half of the students do have some kind of religious beliefs. The Collin County Community College District provides services for Collin County, Texas. They also have six campuses. They are located in Allen, McKinney, Frisco, and Rockwall as well as two campuses in Plano.
