In this lesson, students will write a weather report or a weather forecast in some country or a place in the United States.
Goals
Students will learn:
To research information
Write a weather report or weather forecast
Materials Needed
Social Studies book
Note cards for taking notes
Notebook paper
Pencils and Erasers
Pens for final copy
Procedure
First, students will select a place they would like to study.
Then, they will gather information and write the important facts on their note cards.
After that, they will write a weather report or a weather forecast for the place they chose.
Finally, they need to read their paper over and make sure there aren't any mistakes before they submit their paper
Grading
You can grade the students on their organization, accuracy of information, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure.
