Understanding Prepositions

In this lesson, students will find the prepositions in the sentences.

This lesson is for third through fifth graders.

This lesson needs to be completed before the lesson on prepositional phrases.

First, you will copy the worksheet.

Then, you will explain to the students about prepositions. You can do this by writing examples on the board.

Example: Christy likes to write a synopsis of her short stories or books in a spiral notebook that has separate divisions.

In this sentence, of is a preposition and in is a preposition.
