Description

This lesson is on the musical alphabet. Students will learn about stepping up. I have study sheets and worksheets for you to use with your students.

Goals

Students will learn:
The Musical Alphabet
To step up from any letter of the musical alphabet

Materials Needed

Study Sheet - The Musical Alphabet - Stepping Up

The musical alphabet is the first seven letters of the alphabet - A B C D E F G.

From these letters, you move up or down by stepping or skipping.

UP-Up goes from one letter to the next higher letter.

STEP-A step goes from one letter to the very next letter.

A step up goes from A to B, B to C, and so on through the musical alphabet. When you reach G, you start again with A.

Procedure

First, you will explain about the music alphabet - A B C D E F G.

Then, you will explain about stepping up.

After that, you will give them the worksheets on stepping up.

Grading

100 to 90 = A

89 to 80 = B

79 to 70 = C

69 to 60 = D

Below 60 = F
