About simplifying fractions.

Materials Needed

The worksheet I have included in this lesson
Pencils and erasers

Procedure

First, you will copy the worksheet so that each student will have one.

Then, you will explain to the students how to simplify fractions.

Example: 2/10 = 1/5 4/6 = 2/3 4/24 = 1/6

7/8 = 7/8 (Already simplified)

You find a number that you can divide both the top and bottom numbers by. You need to simplify the fractions to the lowest one.

After that, you will pass out the worksheet so that students can work on them independently.
