Learning About Kinds of Trees
This lesson is about the different types of trees. Students will look up the different types of trees and write a summary about each one.
First, you will have students look in their science book and the Internet to find information about the different types of trees such as maple, oak, birch, fir, and other types of trees.
Then, you will have them take notes on their information.
After that, you will have the students write a paper on the types of trees. They need to use one page for each type of tree. This paper needs to be written in ink or typed on the computer.
When they have finished their paper, they can make a cover for it out of construction paper and markers.
Finally, they can submit their papers to you for grading.
You can grade the students on the accuracy of their information. You can also grade them on sentence structure, paragraph structure, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
