  • Description

  • This lesson is about shapes and personalizing them so that students can learn the shapes. For example, you can write a sentence or two about each shape. These sentences can be in first person point of view as if the shape was talking.
  •
  • Goals

  • * Learn the different shapes
    * Learn about the sides of shapes
  •
  • Materials Needed

  • Shapes - Circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, hexagon, octagon, and others with different sizes.
  •
  • Procedure

  • First, you will introduce the basic shapes such as circle, triangle, square, and rectangle. Talk about the shapes and how many sides each shape has. You can make up a shape and personalize each shape as if the shape spoke about itself. This would help students learn. Once the students have learned these shapes, you can add the others.
  •
  • Grading

  • You can grade the students on how well they know the shapes.
