• This lesson plan is for fourth and fifth grade students. They will search for the beginning facts of Thanksgiving and write a fiction story with them as the main character and what happened to them during this period of history.

• * Internet to learn about the beginning of Thanksgiving
  * Notebook paper

Procedure

• First, the students need to do some research about the beginning of Thanksgiving. Then, they need to write a fiction story about that time period with them as the main character. After that, they will turn in their papers for you to grade.

Grading

• You can grade them on their accuracy of the time period, and you can grade them on grammar and structure of their sentences and paragraphs.
