ABC Book

Butterfly Concepts:High and Low
By playing with cardboard butterflies, children will learn the concepts of High and Low. This lesson plan also incorporates music, gym, listening skills, and art.
Train Concepts: Fast and Slow
Children will pretend to be the Little Engine That Could as they learn the concepts fast and slow.

Kindergarten

Alphabetizing Animals
Students will have animal words that they will put in alphabetical order. The words are for the first seven letters of the alphabet. I have included the worksheet for this lesson.

Forming Words

Nouns and Pronouns
This lesson is on nouns and pronouns. Students will learn the difference between an common noun and a proper noun. They will also learn about pronouns. Worksheets are also included in this lesson for teachers to copy and give their students.
Occupations - Matching Exercise
Students will have a list of occupations. They will match the occupation to the transportation they use, the equipment they use, or building they have. This exercise is for third through fifth grade students.
Parts of Speech Museum
This activity will allow the students to apply their knowledge of the basic parts of speech while learning them. The students will create display boards that show visual and written examples of the different parts of speech. The museum consists of project boards with pictures and descriptions for each of the five parts of speech.
Past and Present Verb Tenses
Students will write the present tense for the list of verbs. This lesson plan is for third grade through fifth grade.

Teaching English
Are you looking for an interesting way to teach English? If you are, then this lesson is for you. First you draw a circle in the middle. Then, you draw lines out in different directions from the center circle to smaller circles. There are different ways you can use this exercise. I have seen teachers in school use this diagram to teach reading. I came up with other ways to use this diagram such as: compound words, prefixes and suffixes, nouns and pronouns, and other examples.
Troublesome Word Pairs
This lesson is on troublesome word pairs. Students have trouble understanding different word pairs such as their/there. This lesson will help students learn to distinguish between the words in each word pair. You also need to give worksheets to help increase their learning skills.
Understanding and Identifying Verbs
This lesson is on verbs. Students will learn about action verbs, linking verbs, and passive verbs. They will also identify verbs in sentences.
Understanding Prepositions
In this lesson, students will find the prepositions in the sentences. This lesson is for third through fifth graders. This lesson needs to be completed before the lesson on prepositional phrases.
Understanding Simple and Complete Predicates
This lesson covers simple and complete predicates. I have explained the difference and have given examples and exercises for you to use with your students.
