- Students will write down what they are thankful for, and then they will draw a picture of the items they wrote on their list. They can also color their picture. This can also be for first through fifth grade students.
- Sequencing - Days and Months
- In this lesson, students will have two worksheets. The first worksheet - Students will put the days of the weeks in order. The second worksheet - Students will put the months of the year in order.
- Telling Time
- One of the hardest activities for a pre-school student is learning to tell time. This activity allows for students to learn to tell time on a standard clock by letting them use their arms and bodies. This type of kinestetic learning will allow the students to learn to tell time easier and quicker.
Kindergarten
- Christmas Words - Worksheet
- In this lesson, students will have a worksheet of Christmas terms that they will unscramble to make words.
- Developing Memory Skills
- This lesson is about developing memory skills. You will gather items and put them in a box. You will use these items in the exercise that I have included in this lesson.
- Finding Words - Thanksgiving Worksheet
- In this lesson, students will find words in the following phrase: Thanksgiving is the time to be thankful.
- Resolving Situations
- In this lesson, students will read about two situations. In each situation, the characters experience some type of problem. Students will write out how they would resolve the situation if they experienced the same thing in their lives.
- Spur of the Moment Act
- In this lesson, you will tell a pair of students what they are to do on the spur of the moment. The other students will try and guess what the students are doing.
- Thanksgiving Worksheet
- This lesson is for third to fifth grade students. Students will unscramble the words listed in the worksheet.
- Unscramble the Letters
- This is a puzzle where students will unscramble letters of familiar words. Then, they will write sentences using each of these words.
- Where Do I Belong? - Part One
- This lesson is to help children learn how to organize books on the library bookshelves. The students have a worksheet of different numbers and letters, and they have to place the numbers and letters in the correct place.
- Where Do I Belong? - Part Two
- This lesson is to help children learn how to organize books on the library bookshelves. The students will sit at the tables. Each student has four books that they need to place in the correct order by looking at the library label. The labels will have numbers or letters.
Elementary School
- An Amusing Speech
- In this lesson, you will tell the students they are to think of an amusing speech and tell it to the class. This speech will be about an amusing event in their lives.

- In this lesson, students will write a Thanksgiving Day Essay. They will answer the question: "What Does Thanksgiving Mean To Me?"

- In this lesson, students will find words in the following phrase: Christmas is the season to give to others.
- New Year's Eve Worksheet
- In this lesson, students will write a list of goals they want to do for next year. They will also write down how they want to accomplish those goals. This lesson plan can be used for high school students, too.

- In this lesson, students will write a Christmas Essay. They will answer the question: What Does Christmas Mean To Me?
- Word Scramble - Occupations
- This is a word scramble on occupations. Students will unscramble the letters and spell the words correctly.
- Writing A Thanksgiving Day Story
- In this lesson, students will write a Thanksgiving Day Story using some or all of the words included in the worksheet. These stories can be fiction or non-fiction (Personal Essays).
- Writing About A Christmas Day Celebration
- In this lesson, students will write about a Christmas Day Celebration they had with their family. They will write their stories in first person.
Middle School
- A Christmas Memory
- Students will write an essay about a special Christmas they had with their family and why it was special to them.
- Giving a Persuasive Speech
- In this lesson, students are to give a persuasive speech on a topic listed in this lesson. This lesson may take more than one class period.
- Writing a Query Letter
- In this lesson, students will write a query letter about a short story they would like to write.
