- Animal Sounds
- You will read a book about the different animals and their sounds. Then, you will play a tape of various animal sounds for the children and talk about the different sounds. After that, they can act out the different animals and make the sounds.
- Making It Rain
- This lesson will help the students learn the process of the water cycle, and it answers the question where does rain come from. While learning this lesson, students will become the different parts of the process while making it rain on their own garden.

- Learning About Magnets
- In this lesson, students will learn about magnets.
- The Uses of Trees
- In this lesson, you will talk about three different types of trees and there uses. Then you will show the children how to create leaf rubbings.
Kindergarten
- Caring for School Pets - Hamsters
- Students will learn about caring for pets such as hamsters. Teachers have pets in their classrooms, so children need to learn how to care for pets. I will focus on hamsters.
- Classifying Dog Breeds
- Students will classify dogs into different groups such as small breeds, medium breeds, and large breeds. This lesson is for fourth and fifth grade students. It can also be used for sixth grade students.
- Creating a Plant Cell Journal
- In this lesson, students will create a journal on plant cells. This lesson is for fifth grade students.
- Dinosaurs - Eoraptor
- In this lesson, you will teach students to identify Eoraptor by showing them pictures of the dinosaur and explaining details about it.
- Learning About Bears
- This lesson is about bears. You will teach the students the basic facts about bears. This lesson is for fourth and fifth graders.
- Learning About Hurricanes
- Students will write an essay on hurricanes. This is for fifth graders for a science paper.
- Learning About Sounds
- This lesson will teach students about sound. They will hear different sounds, and then they will say which sounds they heard. This will develop auditory skills. You will use this lesson as a science project when you teach students about sounds.
- Learning about Trees
- This lesson is about trees. Students will draw a tree and label the different parts such as root, truck, branch, leaves, and twigs. This lesson is for fourth to fifth graders. It can be given to sixth graders, too.
- Taking Care of Pets
- In this lesson, you can talk to the students about taking care of pets. You can also have a veterinarian come to the classroom to talk to the students, or you can set up a time where you can take a field trip to the veterinarian's office.
- Understanding Seasons
- This lesson is helping children learn about the different seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. They will have activities to do for this lesson.
- Unscramble the Letters - Mammals
- In this lesson, you will have a worksheet for students to unscramble words of mammals such as kangaroos, bats, apes, rabbits, and other mammals.
- Weather Journal
- Students will write a journal about the different kinds of weather. For example, they can include hurricanes, tornadoes, sleet, snow, and other types of weather. This is for fifth grade students.
- Writing an Essay - The Circulatory System
- In this lesson, students will write an essay on the circulatory system. This lesson is for fifth graders.
Elementary School
- Learning About Birds
- This lesson is about the different types of birds. Students will look up the different types of birds and write a summary about their favorite kind of bird.
- Learning About Kinds of Trees
- This lesson is about the different types of trees. Students will look up the different types of trees and write a summary about each one.
- Learning About Thunderstorms
- In this lesson, students will write a summary about some aspect of thunderstorms. This may take more than one hour because the students need to do the research and then write their paper.
- Learning About Weather
- Students will choose some aspect of weather such as tornadoes, hurricanes, snow, hail, floods, or another type of weather and write an essay.
- Writing A Short Story - Weather
- This lesson plan is an additional assignment from the lesson plan: Learning About Weather. Students will write a short story on the weather they chose in the lesson plan on Learning about Weather.
- Writing About an Invention - Science
- Students will think of something they would like to invent and write a how-to paper on that invention.
Middle School
- Gravity VS Lift
- This experiment will help the students understand how lift must be greater than gravity for something to fly.
- Story Starters For Science Fiction Story
- The students will be given some ideas for story starters that are related to Science. For example, one story starter might be: I developed a time machine that took me to the past. They are to write a science fiction story and submit their papers to you for grading.
