Vincero Academy is a brand new day school founded with the mission of helping students with learning differences thrive, rather than just survive in school. We accomplish this by creating customized educational plans based on each student’s unique learning profile.

With two qualified child psychologists on staff, cognitive processes such as attention, memory, expressive and receptive language, sensorimotor functions, visual-spatial processing are assessed. Executive functions such as organization, planning, and problem solving are also evaluated. This allows us to identify weak pathways that need to be targeted for intervention as well as student strengths that can become part of the solution.

Here at Vincero Academy, we realize that every child’s needs and learning styles are unique. We carefully take all individual aspects into consideration through individualized curriculum and differentiate instruction according to student learning modality strengths. Thus, we are able to provide both remediation and enrichment as needed.

• We are more interested in fostering critical thinking and problem solving than training students to pass standardized tests.


Vincero’s program is designed for students who struggle with attention deficits, learning disabilities such as dyslexia, and mild psychosocial problems such as anxiety. However, our experiential curriculum is also ideal for students who are simply interested in something different or those contemplating dropping out. Our fully qualified staff provide a wide range of assessment and intervention services, including neuropsychological consultation (performed by our psychologists) and reading remediation techniques. Note that all teachers are certified by the Florida Department of Education.

In addition to core curricula, students may avail themselves of a host of experiences including art, music, and drama; photography; cooking; web design; a variety of athletic pursuits; equine therapy/horseback riding; and mentored vocational/entrepreneurial opportunities.

Vincero’s philosophy is grounded in Dr. Mel Levine’s neurodevelopmental model and Dr. Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences. Our curriculum uses thematic, cross-curricular, project- and community-based instruction to not only impart skills and concepts but provide ample opportunities to practice them in relevant ways.


We are fully accredited K – 12 by SACS CASI and accept McKay and Florida Pride Scholarships.
