  • Peace Montessori provides an excellent alternative to the other school options in our area. In addition to the traditional Montessori materials, Peace offers weekly music, yoga, physical fitness, Spanish and drama and frequent opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom and in the community. The teachers are top notch, well experienced, and model respectful behavior to each other and the students. Peace Montessori nurtures my child's love of learning while providing an excellent foundation for future education.

  • Three of my 4 children attend Peace Montessori (my 8th grader is beyond the school's current scope). We have been at the school for 3 years. With any new or successful enterprise, changes are necessary to remain effective and accommodate the principles of the establishment along with the needs of its community. The school has risen to the challenges it has faced as a young and developing organization and has excelled. This achievement is reflected in the consistent increase in the annual student body. The teachers and administration staff are not only qualified, but are passionate about their responsibility as educators and role models. This school provides exceptional education by allowing my children to progress & excel at levels that are unique to their abilities & interests. As a parent, I feel a connection to the school that resonates with all the parents. I have witnessed unprecedented volunteer involvement of every single family at the school. What better place to grow and learn?

  • Currently, 3 of my 4 children attend Peace Montessori (my eldest child would like to attend, but is in 8th grade - beyond the school’s current scope). We have been at the school for three years now and have seen it grow and expand. As with any new or successful enterprise, changes are necessary to remain effective and accommodate both the principles of the establishment, along with the needs of its community. The school has risen to the challenges it has faced as a young and developing organization and has excelled. This achievement has been reflected in the constant increase in the annual student body, especially in these economically stressed times. The teachers and administration staff at this school are not only qualified, but more importantly, are passionate about their responsibility as educators and role models for our children. As a family that has experience in both the public and private education systems, I find that this Montessori school provides exceptional education by allowing my children to progress and excel at levels that are unique to their abilities and interests. As a parent, I feel a connection to the school that I see resonates with all the parents. I have witnessed firsthand, unprecedented volunteer involvement of every single family at the school. It’s not just a school; it is a Community. And what better place to grow and learn?

  • In an era of great debate about how we should be educating our children, Peace Montessori is a shining example of best practices in education (I say this as someone who has studied best practices in my career as a school psychologist). The teachers are not only well credentialed, but also innovative, enthusiastic, caring, and invested in their students' success. The school environment is open and serene and conducive to learning, and there are opportunities for hands-on learning in all academic areas. Monthly fieldtrips are integrated into the curriculum, and science lessons are often reinforced through outdoor fieldtrips with a naturalist. An emphasis on interpersonal skills and social graces are seamlessly integrated into the children's day. Not only are my children getting a strong academic foundation, they're also given the opportunity to think critically, problem-solve, and be creative. The Montessori method ensures that they have a hand in taking responsibility for what they learn, a skill that will serve them well in later life. The administration at Peace works in partnership with the families, and the families are a close community. I feel lucky that my children are getting the opportunity to be educated at a school like Peace.

  • My husband and I were both Montessori schooled, and we have chosen to Montessori school our children as well--and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Peace! The teachers and staff are intelligent, creative, caring--and follow the true Montessori method. Our two daughters are bright and inquisitive, avid readers, and excited about math and science... much of which we can attribute to the educational approach of Peace Montessori. The school also has extra programs such as drama, music, Spanish and yoga/P.E., which gives the kids a well-rounded school experience. I feel that my kids are not only prepared for their future educational experiences, but also taught that learning is an enjoyable, interactive, life-long activity.
