My granddaughter is 4 years old. She started attending this school in the fall of 2007. March of 2008 she was kicked out for being defiant. She is a bright, intelligent and friendly 4 year old. She was told she was being kicked out because she was defiant. She doesn't even know what defiant means. She talks too much in class. You don't kick out of school permanently a 4 year old for talking too much in class. There were probably other problems, but NOTHING that would warrant kicking a 4 year old out of school. Why is the name 'Christian' associated with this school when they kick out a 4 year old for misbehaving? Where I come from, Christians help people, not kick them out. The principal says the decision was entirely hers. The teacher did not the girl kicked out. Hey Christian School, take a look at your principal.

In response to the previous rating, I can attest to the "Christian" being a very real part of El Dorado Christian School. I have taught there for several years, and, while everyone is human, the teachers, faculty, staff, and board is filled with genuine Christian people that have a deep love for the school and their students. I know nothing about the situation mentioned, but I do know the former principal that made the decision, and I can say with confidence that she did so after much prayer and consideration. There is a difference between a Christian School and a Reform School, as there is a difference between a Christian School and a Church. I would highly recommend El Dorado Christian School to anyone who is looking for a school that will provide high quality academic and spiritual training. If you are looking for a place to control your unruly child, I would suggest a reform school. "Christian Education Doesn't Cost, It Pays."

In response to the poor review, we have sent our children to El Dorado Christian for many years beginning in preschool. When a child disrupts the learning and spiritual growth of the class day after day, it might be appropriate to dismiss them from school. The teachers that we have been in contact with, are loving, nurturing and desire to demonstrate God's love and character. The school has been a blessing to our family. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who desires a Christian education for their child.
