  • Excellent school. I can't believe the progress my child has made in such a short amount of time. The teachers are so hard working and caring. I can't not speak highly enough of

  • I have to disagree with the last comment on here. I feel that Bergen Center absolutely prepared my child for the real world. She has learned and grown so much over the years she has attended this school. The staff are outstanding and are doing a fantastic job. I have never had any issues or concerns that have not been immediately addressed and corrected. I am really surprised to see such a negative review for Bergen Center. I can't recommend it enough!

  • Bergen Center does not prepare students for the real world. While the environment is caring, there is much less community inclusion and vocational preparation than most special needs schools serving the same population. What is called "community based instruction" does not take place in the community, and can't be generalized to real life settings. Discipline is inconsistent and staff turn-over is high.
