  • I don't know much about the teachers, but our neighbor works at this school as an aide in exchange for tuition for her two children. This family is anything but Christian in the way they treat neighbors and are real strange. The kids do not acknowledge adults and put their heads down to avoid eye contact. I find it hard to believe the Christian spirit has not rubbed off on them especially when the kids attend for free.

  • This will be the fourth year that my son has been going to Mtn. View Christian. We've been mostly happy there. We like that it's secure and the teachers are very careful about who picks up whom after school. So far, the teachers have been pretty good. If not GREAT! Temperaments vary, as they will in humans. Although there are annual events, most things seem to center around the older grades.(i.e., Jr. High and High School age.) Especially the sports programs. They really don't have much K-3rd grade. 2nd grade began a new month-long B-ball "camp" last year. But there's no Spanish classes until 8th grade! Although I think there's a cheer leading thing happening this year (3rd).
My only real complaint is that tuition keeps going up every grade. We would like to keep him in all through high school (possibly), but we will probably not be able to afford the growing tuition fees. What with purchasing a house and paying for extracarriculars,(Karate, Spanish language, etc) we're just not going to be able to do it.
The one big thing is that they include Bible studies in the curriculum (as the name would suggest). What with the public schools banning the practices of the Pledge of allegiance, etc., we think that it's important to include such things. (Especially since our work schedules make it difficult for us to attend church.)
We're thankful that we have this alternative as an option,
    for now, at least.
Oh, yeah. I should probably mention. This school is only 10 years old or so. They continue to grow, add-on, and improve. However, all of us in Vegas know how annoying construction can be.
