  • I would not want to go anywhere at else at all. The teachers are caring, well-educated, and work with you if you are absent or don't understand the subject. The people are very friendly and welcoming to any new student. Our sports teams are drastically improving and also is our school spirit. I am so proud to be a Lion and I love JSerra!

  • This school is an excellent choice for students to be more focused in Orange County! The staff is very involved and wants the best for each student. There is a great variety of sports and clubs, so that each student can get involved in the school. Weekly Mass creates unity in the school and reinforces better values in the school. Homework is given out appropriately, not usually more than 1 to 2 hours a night. If you want your high school son or daughter to have a positive experience where they feel unique, this is a great school.

  • Disappointing academically. Most teachers do not have credentials (my child had PE teachers for both science classes). They give excessive amounts of homework to compensate for lack of quality teachers. No school spirit. Weekly, yes weekly, mass is a requirement replaces any fun high school gathering. Sports programs are in the tank, because the homework is so grueling - who has time for practice! There are very few - if any extracurricular programs (music, surfing, scuba, ROP, etc.). Look to Mater Dei, RSM or St, Margaret. J Serra is a HUGE disappointment.
