- Top notch Montessori education, practical learning, super friendly environment, excellent teachers, big rooms and playground, nutritious hot meals served daily.
There are close to a 100 learning activities kids go throughout the year: language, practical life, math, geography, culture etc. You get weekly reports on what that child worked on, detailed monthly reports on activities and child's progress (started, working, mastered) and quarterly one on one test and in depth reviews with the teachers. You get a good sense on the child's strengths, interests, development level in various areas and tips on how to improve. The child preparedness is valued relative to both Montessori and Public Schools standards.
I love the fact the school is setup so each child can excel at his or her own pace. There is a strong focus on individual attention, responsibility, self-control and empathy towards kids and teachers.
My daughter is thriving here. She's 4 years old and she can read and write short words, tell all the continents, talk about presidents and culture from around the world. She's now being introduced to basic math concepts (10, 100, 1000, adding, subtracting).
We love Palmetto Montessori!
