  • This school is a joke! In what respectable school do the teachers come late to class, or better yet, not show up to class at all?!?! The administration view the school as a business, a money maker and they don't really care about the academics. The academics have seriously fallen since the school switched principals. We are no longer an IB school and we barely meet state standards. The School Board and administration don't pay the teachers enough at all! They practically volunteer and many of them could be working at a higher paying job and ACA treats them with disrespect. The teachers are very involved and they care about the students well being. Very few sports or extra curriculars are offered. The homework load that is regulated by the teachers is fine, but when the administration gets involved they pile on too much busy work to handle. The school also fails to recognize outside of school achievements that students have worked toward. In last year's graduating class there were three student who had taken additional college classse outside of school and the school never recognized their hard work. Overall, I am very disappointed with the school's performance. However, I will commend the teachers for working so hard and putting up with the administration on a day to day basis for us. We appreciate your sacrifices more than you know. Thank you to the teachers!
