  • Sumter Academy is a very important asset to Sumter County. Without Sumter Academy, our options for educating our children would be greatly diminished. There are great people here and many who work very hard to improve the school and our community. Substantial improvements have been made at Sumter Academy recently. The outlook and attitude on campus is very positive. Unfortunately there are those in every community who always express negative views. Typically, they are not the parents who work the concession stands, or help paint the school, or participate in fundraisers, or just give their time for the sake of their kids. Unfortunately, they, nor their children by example, will ever understand the rewards of such activities.
