  • It is a well recognized daycare in the east rock neighborhood; particularly the teachers in the youngest classes are popular. Our oldest son had two fantastic years.
HOWEVER our youngest not so lucky and has been enrolled in a unruly class which at times best can be described as violent, and he only talks about how often he is being hit.
There is a clear lack of willingness or ability from Leila Day’s management side to effectively deal with a difficult situation and when outside evaluation was requested a previous “Leila day” teacher was selected; completely ineffective.
    In short.
It is all about class composition. If your child is selected to enroll into troubled class then expect this to continue throughout the year, and hope it will not become worse. If your child however is lucky enough to be selected for a “normal” class, then you and your child will have the most fantastic time.
