  • We have had the pleasure of having our two children attend Serrano Heights Academy for the last 3 1/2 years. Our daughter, started attending Serrano Heights Academy for Pre-K when she just turned 5 and stayed through 1st grade. Our son, started attending Serrano Heights at nearly 2 years old until he completed Pre-K. We have had a fabulous 3 1/2 years at Serrano Heights Academy and highly recommend it to other parents for their childrens' child care and educational needs.

I am, myself, the product of a Montessori school, having attended a Montessori school through 2nd grade in TX. My husband and I were happy to find Serrano Heights Academy so close by our home when my company relocated us to Orange County and were thrilled to find out that the teachers follow a Montessori approach to education. From the moment we entered the school to evaluate it for our children's needs, the administrator welcomed us warmly. She toured us through the classrooms, introduced us to the teachers and children, and made us feel right at home. It was a very easy decision to enroll our children at Serrano Heights.

The continuing support she and her team of teachers gave us over the last 3 1/2 years reinforced our correct decision on a daily basis. The teachers are warm, bright, loving, and firm. Our children adored each of their teachers and came home every day demonstrating their new learnings. The teachers kept us updated daily on our children's progress, and we credit their partner-like approach for helping our children's developmental and intellectual success.

Our daughter made a very smooth transition into another private school for 2nd grade. Thanks to Serrano Heights, she developed a hunger and thirst for learning and was advanced versus other children in her classroom at the new school. As our son now prepares to enter Kindergarten this fall, he is reading, writing, and socially very well-prepared. The only reason he will not be enrolling in Kindergarten at Serrano Heights is that we have to relocate back to Minneapolis this summer. Our son's last school day was a very sad day for us all.

We are grateful to the administrator and to the staff at Serrano Heights Academy for their love, support, and contributions to our children's development and education. If we had to go back 3 1/2 years, we'd make the same decision again.
