  • St. Martha is a small (about 200 children) Catholic school K-8 that is open to everyone. Academics tend to be above grade level as compared to most area public schools. We recently removed on son from the public schools to attend St. Marth and found academics to be about two years ahead of a "Blue Ribbon" public school. Our son was in the honors/gifted program in his previous school and receiving "A" grades in all subjects. The principal is a very strong leader with many years of experience. The school is best for families looking for high academic standards in an ethical, caring environment. The main drawback of the school is extracurricular options, however, if you take advantage of what is offered, you will enjoy the experience. There are also several non-Catholics at St. Martha and the school is ethnically diverse. Parents are kept informed and homework assignments can be checked daily on the internet. The school is also very safe with high parent involvement and a before and after school program for parents that work longer days. The cost is also very inexpensive as compared to other private schools. This school is an undiscovered gem!
