  • We transferred my oldest child to ULS after his Pre - K education at another local private school. I must say from the first moment I walked through the doors, the school is full of light, airy and everyone is very friendly. Every kid I saw there from the youngest to the oldest looked happy and comfortable in their environment and there is certainly a level of freedom that I do not see in other schools that make you feel like the kids don't have a chance to develop their independence and responsibility. They do not pay lip service in their commitment to diversity, it is evident. My child has really blossomed and is clearly happy, excited and nurtured at ULS. The teachers email me about the slightest thing before my kid even gets home - and makes me feel that someone is really paying attention to them individually not just academically. But speaking of academics, the report cards are really about 10 pages from every teacher and resource teacher and gives you a much more accurate picture than a simple letter grade. Very warm school culture, challenging but nurturing.
