  • If you are looking for a Catholic grade school, if you are looking for a school with diversity, if you are looking for teachers who are genuinely dedicated - PJP II is it. I've never seen teachers as dedicated as those at PJP II. They go so very far and beyond their required work hours, it's unbelievable. The curriculum is challenging - designed to accommodate each and every student, whether it be for those who need extra help or those who excel beyond their typical age curve (this year - 2009 - two students are learning Geometry! Sophomore-level math!). Spanish classes are required = a head start for high school language requirements, not to mention a worthwhile exposure to a local immigrant culture. (Almost 50% of the students are of Spanish descent.) The attitude of the student body is outstanding - showing not only school pride, but an unusual respect for each other. Most students also participate eagerly in outside activities, including community service and school athletics - which involves well supported teams. The only small draw back is, being so small and privately funded, technology and building upgrades need to be addressed. Much of this is funded by the local parishes, and frequent trips to the public library make up for some of the technology needs. On the whole, this is a school filled with pride, love, and spirit. PJP II Catholic School is a wonderful community to be a part of.
