  • Our family loves Aquinas Academy. We have used the school for two years, with two children in attendance. I recommend the you visit the campus and talk to the teachers and meet students. Our children have continued to florish in their learning. The enjoy being apart of a close and loving family filling. All the teachers are willing to work with helping the children.
Please call and visit our small and close campus. You will be glad you visited.

  • Aquinas Academy in Bear, Delaware, is a wonderfully small school with a very dedicated teacher staff. I sent my first child to this school two years ago and have liked almost everything about the school. Academics are fairly demanding, but I would like to see more time spent on student writing of and rewriting of major papers. My child was able to write major papers the night before the due date and still get a B on work that just was not of good quality. Instruction in religion class also needs improvement as the teacher needs to develop and stick to a syllabus. For the past two years, religion has been a class for the teacher to talk too much politics for endless periods of time, only to realize that he ran out of time to teach the course as was indicated, resulting in the teacher assigning massive numbers of chapters to be read and completed during the last weeks of class with open book tests given in order to "complete" the course. For the most part, the other classes seem to be taught well and the teachers of these classes appear dedicated to and interested in each student's development. Also, the school does hold a science fair yearly and the results of each student's progress are put up for everyone to view. The only real negative Aquinas Academy has in terms of social development is the very small male population that is enrolled in the school. Unfortunately, this academy seems to be more of a girl's school, with the boys struggling to find their place here. Hopefully, more male students will enroll! Aquinas Academy offers students many good opportunities to develop both spiritually and academically.
