  • My son attends the Montessori School of Port Orange for VPK, and we have been so pleased with the school, its staff, and its program that we are seriousl considering enrolling him in the school for Kindergarten (instead of sending him to public school). The staff is incredibly caring and attentive to the students. The teachers take to the time get to know each child and access his/her strengths and weaknesses so that they can individually design a curriculum that meets their needs. The student to teacher ratio is kept low, so each child gets individual attention and extra help when needed. The activities are varied and fun, while still being educational. The staff has never hestitated to take the time to answer any of my questions, or to provide detailed feedback on my son's progress. Most of all, I love the stance the school takes on education. They truly believe that its takes the cooperation of the parents, the teachers, and the directors to create a nuturing environment in which children can learn and thrive. I would wholeheartedly recommend this school to any parent.

  • To Whom it May Concern;

    I would like to recommend the Montessori School of Port Orange to the community and all parents. I only wish I had discovered this wonderful school years ago for my grandson, Isaiah.

    This is the most nurturing, clean and professionally ran school in the Daytona/Port Orange area in my opinion.

    The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Scotty, Ms. Mckay and their entire staff have always been kind and went way beyond the call of duty with the children. They also offer the free VPK and had a wonderful graduation ceremony for the children.
    Each season and holiday they offered the very best of activities and my grandson really blossomed while there.
    They had a wonderful summer program with many field trips for the children to attend.
    He will be heading out to public kindergarten this year but his time spent at the Montessori school will always be remembered as some of the best times ever
