  • I would encourage anyone to compare this school with any other. The curriculum is advanced for almost every subject and a large number of the students are above average readers. The teachers are some of the best around. I have seen these teachers stay at the school working after hours and during their time off. They have offered and given free tutoring when needed and many attend the children's off campus events. The returning teachers know every child's name on campus and the majority of the parents, even if they do not personally teach them. If you want a school with a loving and warm environment where your child will receive one of the best educations available, then this is the school for you. Please take the time to go and look at the school and talk to the administrator and teachers.

  • I would have to strongly disagree with the review below. My two children have attended SJGS for the past two years and I am very happy with the education that they have received. Prior to this school, my oldest went to a public school where he came home crying most days due to being overwhelmed. His teacher had no idea why he might be unhappy, instead saying that he was bright and I had nothing to worry about. At SJGS I don't have that type of problem. Both my children are happy, they love their teachers and I can feel secure that the teachers care for them.I also know that I can always talk to the teachers and director of the school and will never receive an "I don't know" to my questions or concerns. My oldest son's reading level has increased greatly this year. My youngest who is entering into first grade can read very well. Reading is strongly encouraged at the school and the reading program is constantly growing and being perfected. Both children have participated in a number of history related activities including a history fair where groups of students each studied and showed a particular country, Indian Studies and historical reenactors. SJGS provides hands on learning opportunities for its students instead of filling their days with busy work that they will soon forget. I encourage any prospective parents to talk to the many happy parents who have been at the school for years or to even arrange a time to sit in on a class. The teachers and director are very accomodating and friendly.

  • St Johns Grammar School is a traditional yet innovative educational experience. Small enough for personalize teaching, big enough to offer extra curricular activities, a reading comprehension program, a laptop program and citizenship and character building. I strongly encourage you to call the school or email to schedule a tour today. 904-287-3936 www.sjgs.net, [email protected] You'll be glad you did.
