  • The teachers do not have teaching certificates and the education is not up to Illinois standards. They do not pratice best practice, which is what all certified teachers teach. DCFS has been called many times on staff members. It is not a safe place.

  • I sent my child to First School, but when I found out that the (...) did not have a degree in education I was concerned. I soon realized that the (...) had little know-how in education in general. I then found out that many of her teachers do not have teaching certificates. They pose as an educational facility, but many of their teachers do not hold certificates. Many of them have the equivalency of an associate's degree. The consistency of teachers is also awful. My child has had several different teachers throughout the year and has several teachers throughout the day. I also found out that the (...) alienates many of her staff members and they quit which is partially why there is such a switch in teachers. I also know parents who have complained about teachers and nothing is done. The (...) keeps teachers that she likes, although they are not helping the students progress through their education or are not doing the things they are supposed to. Something should be done about this school.
