  • This school is NOT very good. I would not say so at all. As for the administration and staff, they really are different to you and I do not think it is fair, at ALL. Student achievement was fairly bad for my child, and when I asked why they told me "Academic achievement is taken upon the child, not the teacher." I do not understand this because if MY CHILD DOES NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING, WHY DOESN'T THE TEACHER HELP? When my child asks for help, the poor child is REJECTED. THE CHILD IS TOLD TO ASK ANOTHER CLASSMATE, OR TO "PAY MORE ATTENTION"? Teacher involvement, as you see is VERY BAD. No guidance, or counselors. There is only volleyball, for boys and girls, and I know that several people have applied to teach other languages and sports, for FREE, and St. Nicholas denied them. I don't understand. For recess THEY PLAY IN THE STREET WITH PIECES OF WOOD FOR PROTECTION! The "horses" are their only guard from getting hit from a car, if it should ever happen, with no playground, or no use of hard balls. Only soft things? I know people who have been injured, and the person who was held responsible was LET OFF THE HOOK, WITHOUT QUESTION. The building is very unsafe, no handicapped access, whatsoever. The railings are so thin, anyone can FALL DOWN. Bugs, roaches, disgusting unclean surfaces, which the administrators DENY. The homework load is backbreaking. If I didn't have a car, I have no idea how my child would be able to even withstand the HOMEWORK LOAD, WITH SO MANY BOOKS! I do not understand. Why isn't the girls volleyball team publicized as the boys team? IF YOU ARE NOT 100% UKRAINIAN YOU ARE TREATED DIFFERENTLY. I do not recommend this school to any parent.
