  • This school is an example of everything that is wrong in American education today. The teachers, principal, and staff are all more concerned with public image, fund raising, and yuppie politics, than actually educating the children. I have found the administration to be rude, insensitive, uncaring, and stuck up on many occasions. The overall attitude is that as long as you are a chosen "booster" you are a vip, if you are just one of the parents who actually expect the school to do something for your child, you are out of luck. Unfortunately for me this is the ONLY public elementary school available to me, otherwise i would have pulled my child out 3 years ago. I have often had to fight just to get simple attention to my questions or problems and have been treated like a I'm bothering them. When a teacher forced my then 7 year old to stay in class during a test and refused to give her a bathroom pass, my child wet herself in class. There was NEVER an apology for the teacher's obvious mistake, nor did the principle agree to meet with me to discuss it. I have not had one positive experience in the 6 years my child has been at this school, and as a matter of fact, my child's test scores went down after transferring into this school from another district. If you have a choice, DO NOT enroll your child here or you will regret it.
