1 review for Palomar High School

  • As a student and ASB President of Palomar High School, I feel somewhat obliged to review it. Although it has a bad reputation, PHS has got to be the greatest continuation school in the state. The teachers are all patient and get along with the students on a friendly basis, without losing their strictness and authority. The students come in from all over the county, so you get a diverse population unlike any other schools. Even though it sounds like trouble, everyone gets along pretty well. Getting credits and graduating is the goal for every student, of course, and it shows. I've seen kids graduate a year early, in some cases even more. We have so many projects for students to participate in, and a ton of field trip opportunity. Palomar High isn't about punishing kids who couldn't function in a normal high school environment; It's about helping us prove to others that we won't be type-casted as "bad kids" and get us back onto the right track.
