  • The kids are very bright here, so test scores are quite high. Somehow the administrator thinks this is a reflection on him. It is not. He is riding on the coat tails of his students. As an overall school it's okay, but not great. It's quite parochial. There are some wonderful teachers there, however. If your idea of a great middle school is heavy homework practices and having 11 and 12 year olds competing with future Cal and Stanford students, this is the place for you. But if you feel middle school children need a more well rounded education with time to process and develop emotionally, you might look to another kind of school.

  • Most teachers are great. Some are abusive with homework load. Ask around, and transfer out it you get one of them. Administration is average. Not very interested in the whole child, just test scores.
