  • I have to disagree with all three of the writers on JULY 1st. Is that a coincidence? Three good reviews (or should we call them commercials? sounds like Bonnie Cotter wrote the second one herself) show up on your site at the same time.
With six years of experience dealing with Davidson Day School I can truly say that the prinicipal leadership is it's worst ever. For a school to hire a MARKETING DIRECTOR to be in charge of over 300 children is absurd. Bonnie Cotter knows how to smooth talk you and she is an excellent fund raiser but the kids need a principal who knows about education and is involved with the children. She never greets you at the carpool line or says hello. The children do learn a lot but at a price. They push the the children too hard accademically and socially. Extracurricular activities are growing yes but that is not all that makes a school great. We used to do performances twice a year but that stopped when Bonnie Cotter came. She thinks that if the school has a gym and auditorium that the school will grow. It takes more than a building to provide what children need to learn and grow. As far as the teachers go there WERE some good teachers. Bonnie ran most of them and the students off. If you are looking at this school ask how long the teacher has been there and ask the parents how long their children have been going there. The parents and children that have been part of this school since the beginning and helped make the school what it is have all left. There was a mass exitus at the end of last year. Even long time board members have left and taken thier kids out of this school. Buyer be ware. Ask questions and talk to other parents there, not the ones they recommend you talk to.
