  • This school is one of the best kept secrets in Northwestern Connecticut. While test scores are mixed, Gilbert students excel in their character. Time and time again these young people receive awards and praise for their respect and kindness. The school also hosts a full range of sports, including but not limited to football, track, soccer, tennis, swimming and wrestling. The cross country track runs through the wood owned by the school and there is a ropes course. Academically, the school offers Greek and Latin, and has a partnership with the local community college to allow students to get college credit. Finally, the music department has two extremely dedicate teachers that produce many college bound music students.
