  • This school is terrific and so are the teachers. My son just started 6th grade and the transition was smooth. He is getting straight A's and actually enjoys going to Driftwood, so they must be doing something right. I do however agree that more should be done during dissmisal of the children. I see a lot of them just stand in front of traffic and cross when there are cars coming and acting out of control.I believe that for everyones safety there should be additional personal handling this situation.

  • General lack of communication between parents and some 6th grade teachers. Ms. Gallego is responsive. Based on test scores, school seems to do well. No crossing guard at Sheridan and 72nd Ave. Streets near school pose traffic hazard for students during the period immediately after dismissal.

  • school is located in a really bad neighborhood. I pay taxes for pembroke pines, and yet my son gets stuck with that hollywood school. I pray every day for my son to come home safely.

  • Drugs sold in the bathrooms and found on students on campus by teachers. Nothing reported outside of the school. Fights everywhere and no control around the campus after school. Dangerous traffic situations. Need more control.
