  • I've been so impressed with the teachers at summerfield. My daughter has thrived and exceeded expectations thanks to the very caring teachers she has had so far. Mrs.Tavares and Mrs. Maynard, you're the best!

  • I have a big problem with the way some of the teachers and other staff members communicate with parents. I also cannont believe that our elementary age children are expected to sit in a class all day with no recess other than PE twice a week and then are not even allowed to talk in the lunch room(because of the red light). When did we decide to disipline our children we had to treat them like they are in prison. I would not be able to sit all day in a class without breaks either. I understand what a hard job teachers have and I do appreciate their hard work, however I do feel that sometimes they go overboard. I for one do not appreciate being talked down to when I have a question about my childs care. I also don't think its appropriate to be threatend with "We have too many kids to deal with "unacceptable" behaviors of one in any way other than an immediate write up." Whatever happend to giving a child a warning first?
