  • To the parent or individual who chose to comment "that lady sucks who gave us a 2". I guess in your eyes i may suck. TRUTH HURTS! I care about my child's education, and this web page said rate the school, and i did. I am entitled to share my opinion as so are you. Obviously, there was some truth to it because you did not comment or disagree. Parents need to wake up and be more supportive and involved with their child's education. Teachers today are not like the one's a decade ago, it was a passion to teach and discipline. Sadly, there are very few of those teachers remaining. Today, "SOME" teachers have the whatever! I'm still getting paid attitude! whether they learn or not. And P.S. 239 needs to step it up from the heart not the funds. So until then no more apples!

  • Lack of motivation from principle and faculty. It is so unfortunate that there are very few caring teachers today in age. Grade K -3 some of the teachers are young and non-patient fresh out of college with not that much experience. Graduations and shows are not given the full support as other schools. To think it has it's own gym, auditorium, cafeteria, there is no need for tacky shows and graduations. Classes are not doing similar work. One class may be given take home work sheets and others are given none. If you can sacrifice the money put your child in private school it will pay off in the long run. I gave the public school system a shot and it has let me down. Especially with young minds. There minds are clean sponges, don't let it build up with mold and go to waste.
