  • My children are at Discovery Key and I just want to say how much we love it there I would recommend this school to anyone. My daughter is in 5th gr. & my son is in 3rd gr. My son has always had some struggles with reading comp. and his teacher Mrs DeFransesco noticed and got him help right away and she works so hard with him he's doing so well now I think his teacher is the best teacher a parent could ask for she is truely good at what she does she has a few autistic kids in her class & some very active boys and I get amazed at how well she does with all of them you would never know she has autistic kids in her class every one of her students are important to her & the students feel the same about her. I don't know how she does it! She's a true teacher who you can tell loves her job & teaching kids with her heart. My daughter has Mrs Proch and my daughter loves her she does so much for the kids in her class that no one in her class wants to miss a day of school & they don"t want Mrs Proch to miss a day either. The kids in her tell me she's there 2nd mom she is strict teaching so they will learn but she also makes it so much fun for them they want to learn & she does so many hands on projects & almost all projects are done in class together she makes sure they will be ready for middle school by teaching them how to do the projects & research in her class so when the have harder projects to do on their own in middle school the know how to go about it. My family and children have truely been blessed by such amazing teachers and school. The principal Mr Sills is the best principal I think the school could have he has a heart of gold he wants time for everyone at the school because his students and staff are important to him. This is a very family oriented school the staff really like there jobs, students, families, and each other thats how this school is so good we love D.K.E!! Special thanks to all DKE teachers and staff thanks for always being as good as you truely are I feel confident & comfortable sending my kids to school everyday because of such a great school DKE is. DKE staff you are appreciated by our family everyday!!

  • I Have 2 children at Discovery Key they had started at other schools & I also have other older children so thats how I can give my opinion of the school as being a great school my kids love it there the teachers are excellent. my son started in 1st gr. my daughter in 3rd gr and my son was struggling in reading, writing, & comp. and Mrs Veera really worked very hard to get him on track when I myself had trouble helping him, she helped him with her all her heart & was also helping many other children. My daughter is an excellent writer & scores a 6 on fcat thanks to all the devotion in 4th grade from her teacher Mrs Provenzano who was able to teacher her whole class(even with lots of very active boys) to be excellent little writers & to love writing she worked so well with that whole class, no one wanted to leave her class at the end of the year. This school is truely caring they take the time to care about your family and kids they do so many things for family activities & clubs & are always willing to help in any way Mr Sills is the principal there and he I must say is so good with the kids they get to do so many things because he enjoys seeing his students ,parents & staff happy they have alot of fun & educational trips,& activities that I have never seen another school do and there are so many parents involved helping, organizing, and participating everyday with the school its like one big happy family.

  • I love the teachers and staff at discovery key. They are dedicated, caring and they take the time to spend with the children. My daughter has a head trauma when in second grade her teacher Ms. Soloway noticed her problems right-a-way. Then together with the help of the school and staff members they cared enough to get her on the right learning level that will help her succeed for the rest of her life. NOW they took the time to care! Thanks, Deanna
