  • AHS is not the best in terms of preparing students for college. My son has even attended honors classes and they are not that academically challenging. There is very little emphasis on writing skills, which is an important skill for college. Of course, you can probably determine that from looking at the postings from previous AHS graduates. This is a decent school if you are not planning to attend college after high school or if you are mainly interested in sports.
