1 review for Mcelwain Elementary School-Magnet

  • My review rating is aligned with the services I have received as a parent from the faculty at McElwain- a magnet school located in Birmingham, Alabama. Seemingly, the communication between parents and teachers is nonexisting and there is no sense of urgency to bridge this gap. In fact, the parents are attending schedule PTA meetings, however, the teachers do not find it necessary to make an appearance. Special groups designed for the enhancement of children is being wasted (i.e. The math camp). THe math camp was designed to assist children in math, yet the classes that my daughter participated in discussed things such as Kwanza. When I last checked Kwanza will not be on the SAT or ARMT achievement test.
