  • I like the progress that the school is making. Dr. Valerie Cave has been a major factor in the progress that this school is celebratiing. There is more to be done, but the good leadership that is in place will help this come about.

  • I was very nervous to send my daughter to Risley because of all the "bad rumors" I had heard about this school. And I am glad I decided to find out on my own because my daughter and I could not be happier with the staff and children. This year has been a wonderful experience for both of us. I think what you get out of a school is directly affected by what you put into a school. Risley is definitely the "Best Kept Secret"in Brunswick.

  • My son is in the eighth grade and has been at Risley Middle since sixth grade.(until today-Oct.13, 2006) I find that a lot of the kids there are unruly and undisciplined. No offense to the caring parents and students at Risley, but my son has had nothing but trouble since the beginning of the 06-07 school year. I had a chance to have him transferred to Needwood Middle School before the first semester began and I should have taken the offer. My son will NEVER go back there again. He has been punched in the chest by a child twice his size and the parent was walking with her child when this happened and use very foul language to my son, on school property and while other children were present. In the end, my decision has been made to NOT recommend this school to anyone unless you are the same as the rest of the uncaring parents who could care less about their child's wellbeing and education.
