  • I was a student in PS 86 until last year. I hated it. The aides/monitor were rude and unprofessional. Kids were bullied like crazy and the principal was loud and showed no respect for students or parents. I even heard him yelling at staff sometimes. It was a scary place to be sometimes. I had some great teachers though and the guidance counselors were great.

  • The 1 apple rating is only for the social work staff, guidance counselors in the school and a handfull of teachers that do the best considering the leadership they have. The principal in this school is rude and disrespectful to parents, students and staff. Parent involvement is not welcome unless it is exactly the way the principal wants it and when he wants it. My son has been punished by this prinicpal inappropriately because I asked one to many questions and complained to much. The principal yelled at me and my 8 year old child in a way I haven't heard teenagers yelled at. This principal is very unprofessional.
