I gave Green Park Elementary a D; Because the teachers are not using the most valuable tool in education today that would keep us all connected in helping one another. The tool I am talking about is the Internet. Green Park Elementary has a website that has no homework assignments on it, which keeps many parents in the dark about homework assignments, test and so on. Homework assignment on the school website would give parents the tool they need to enforce what teachers are teaching and will KNOW everyday what the homework assignments are. Children need to be taught at home as well as at school. As of right now....We just have to pray everyday that the children will come home with ALL,and I do mean ALL homework assignments and that it is written perfectly. As I mentioned before , both parents work and some work different hours of the day. Parents today just can't call their teachers everyday to see if their children have written their homework assignment correctly; Not to mention trying to teach them at home with the only tool that we have today, which is an homework assignment pad. My grandchildren just writes what is on the board and when I am helping them with their assignment I have questions and most of the time they just can't answer my question to my satisfaction. I NEED ANSWERS OR I CAN'T HELP THEM. EVERYDAY IT JUST A GUESSING GAME. In today's world which is always changing; Both parents work and to talk to the teacher on the phone for 10 minutes X (Lets say for 5 kid) is a lot of time. not to mention, when parents are at work it hard to get on or to the phone. It is also not needed when our school has it's own website. Green Park elementary needs to look at other school sites on the Internet. The Internet is the most valuable tool we have today that could be helping our children now. The Internet is so easy to use and would save so much time for everyone concern about their children's daily education needs. 'Just think", no more missed homework assignments because it is on the school Internet site straight from their teachers, Which would make for better test score for our children. SO PLEASE!, EVERYONE LET'S PUT OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE TO WORK FOR THE CHILDREN,PARENT AND TEACHERS. (LET'S GET CONNECTED.)
