WE RECENTLY MOVED FROM THE EAST. MY DAUGHTER IS BRIGHT, BUT THIS LAST YEAR WAS VERY BORED. SHE ALREADY LEARNED MOST OF WHAT WAS TAUGHT THIS YEAR. SHE DID LIKE HER TEACHER, HOWEVER, I DO NOT FEEL SHE WAS CHALLENGED, AT ALL. SHE BROUGHT HOME STRAIGHT A'S AND WAS VERY BORED. IS THE EAST THAT MUCH FARTHER IN ACADEMICS, OR WHAT?
I AM ALSO DISAPPOINTED AT HOW MANY HALF DAYS THESE KIDS HAVE OFF. AS A SINGLE MOM, I HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE TO WATCH MY CHILDREN, OR TAKE OFF WORK EVERY TIME THEY HAVE A HALF DAY!
