  • I went to CHS about 20 years ago and it was a horrible experience. The students, faculty and staff were totally elitist. For example, after returning a book my senior year, one of the librarians asked where I was going to college. I told her that I was going to Frostburg State University and she laughed at me and asked why I couldn't get into a "real" college. Needless to say, Frostburg prepared me for an excellent graduate program and now I am a university professor at a major state university. The best decision I ever made was to leave CHS during my senior year and finish up at Glenelg High School. There I received an excellent and supportive education. Too bad I didn't start off there.
