  • I am impressed with the kindergarten staff at Gates Lane. My son entered kindergarten this past fall and his teacher is wonderful and he has made lots of friends. I am a teacher as well and I agree with his teacher's philosophy that learning is developmental. So far, so good. The important thing is to be vigilant as a parent. Ask questions, go to conferences and write notes about any concerns you may have. You have no one to blame but yourself if you don't take part and find your child has a less than happy year in school. Most importantly, VISIT and volunteer in the classroom so you can see for yourself what their day is like.

  • i am a former student at gates lane school and the school is hideous the kids there are horrible.i know a lot of people who have transferred because they have been bullied on constantly for no apparent reason or because the teachers treated them awful.the lower grades like second grade and under are usually fine but from then on and up it all goes down hill because most of the children are insanely ghetto and mean and pick on children that act or look a bit different. so if i were you and i was deciding whether or not put my kid in gates lane school i would recommend not to. oh and if you have a child who is disabled, that school is so cheap they'll try to convince you other wise even if they have been diagnosed by a doctor.
