  • I graduated from Kalkaska High School and I feel that I was very well prepared for college. The teaching staff is fairly young and very energetic. They are true professionals. They offer a large number of advanced placement classes and other honors track offerings for any upper level kid. It is crazy that Kalkaska has a fairly poor reputation in the area. Many kids moved to Elk Rapids or TC thinking somehow it is better. I believe it is all about perception. Kalkaska has a long way to go to prove to the community that it is a great school, but I can say in complete confidence that it IS RIGHT NOW a great school.
