  • The staff at this school will not run me and my child away. I had a home built here 10 yrs ago, Romulus keeps raising my taxes and they think because they refuse to do anything about all the bullying that is happening with my child that they are going to make her leave the district, NOT. We will stay and make them do their jobs, teach and protect the kids while in their care. If I could sell my house & move from Romulus, I would. But as long as Im stuck here my child will go to school and ride the school bus in Romulus free from bully's, if I have to go to that school everyday. The staff, teachers, office staff, & principle need to get it together and stop letting a few kids run the school and class room. And if they pull my child in the office or hallway one more time because she is being bullied there is going to be a big problem. Parents I have spoken to several of you @ the school, in the neighborhood and @ stores, and we are all sick of they way this school is being run. We need to stick together and 1st get this principle out and then work on these lazy teachers, that would rather shift blame or turn a blind eye. several ppl in my family are teachers & i have spoken with them all, and the teachers and the principle should know how to handle bully's and if they dont maybe they should use some of our tax $ to train them. My husband & I should not have to keep taking off work, to go help them do their jobs that they are getting pd for. They dont help me at my job. I do my part send my child to school everyday prepared and ready to learn, but everyday the bullying takes the most focus in my childs day. She went from an A student for 5 yrs to a B student this year because she can not focus because the bully is in her class and her teacher and the principle are not doing anything but encouraging the bullying because nothing is happening to the bully. All the teacher does is keep moving my childs seat like she's the problem, and keeps questioning her when the bully lies. The teacher and the principle have yelled in my daughters face and made her cry several times. Maybe thats why they dont do anything about bullys, because them themselves are bullies. This school need help, and reform, and the school board better hurry and do something, because I am trying to get channel 2 or 4 to do a story on the bullying in Romulus. I know its not just at this school, so if parents all over Romulus call the school board and the news the ppl might finally be heard in this city and they will stop acting as if our children dont deserve better then what they're giving them

  • The principle needs to be fired and several of the teachers. The bullying at this school is out of order and no one wants to see it. My husband & I have been to this school atleast 20 times this school yr because the same girl keeps bullying my child and nothing is being done. Her mother is also a sub teacher for the district and they all need to be ashamed of how they are letting these kids act. I am keeping record of everything that happens and the nothing thats being done even though we are at the school every other week. I will sue this school district if something happens to my child while in their care even on the school bus, which the principle claims she can do nothing about. Do they want my child to do whatever it takes for her to feel safe of course they do so they can put her out of school and continue to let the teachers child run wild and run the school. If you dont live in Romulus dont move here, it is becoming a little Detroit, and the white people are going to let the "black" school fail because they dont care about our kids. And the dumb black teachers are just here for the $ they arent here for the kids. They need to clean house at this school. My child is in 4th grade and has been on the principal's honor roll since 1st grade, but this yr she only got honor roll because she cant focus because of all the bullying. They are messing with her education and no one is doing anything about it. She does not feel safe and she cant go to the adults in the schools because they always find a way to make it her fault, so that the subs daughter is just learner how to be the best bully she can be. Thats one thing this school is good for turning out bully's. I have had kids in this school since it opened 9 yrs ago, one of my childern has been in the school for atleast 6 out of the 9, and it has gone down hill since it opened. The staff needs to be replaced including the office and lunch staff, they are a mess. 0/5 rating

  • This school is a mess. The principal should be fired she is not doing anything but collecting a pay chk. There is a sub teacher there whose child also goes there that is bullying several girls, there has been several times she has bullied my child, threatened her, called her names, had several girls pick on her in class, on the play ground and on the school bus, and the staff acts like there is nothing they can do. Something needs to be done about this school and the staff, subs included. Just because your parent works there does not mean you should be able to do whatever they want. I want my $ back because they are not doing there job, but the city keeps raising my taxes and they let people that dont pay taxes run this place. Do not send you child to this school if you value their safety and want them to have a good learning environment. I give this school a 0/5 rating.
