  • Dear Administrator,

My name is Lyda Oden, former Assistant Principal of Hope Academy in Detroit, Michigan. I currently own and operate â€"Alpha Educational Services”, an extended day program designed to assist students with homework and tutor students in need of academic help. My program requires nothing of the school or staff except an extra room for a couple of hours after dismissal each day. I also give your staff the opportunity to earn extra money. If you think you may be interested in my program and would like more information, please email me at [email protected] or call 313-318-8703 . Also, please feel free to contact Veneda Sanders, principal of Hope Academy about the success of my program at 313-934-0054. I have been running my program at Hope Academy for the last two years.

    Educationally Yours,

    Lyda Oden

  • Dort has a great program for deaf students and wonderful teachers. The school does need to change the principle. The current principle is not very good. It's only a matter of time before a student is injured crossing the street in front of the school because kids are crossing kids in the cross walks. The principle comes out to supervise maybe 3 times a month. I am not very happy with Dort and hope to remove my child from the district. The schools in Roseville are not great compared to the rest of the county.

  • I would advise not to send your child to this school. No student protections are in place. The (...)is incompetent and (...). The teacher turn over is very high due to the poor admin in the building. My children will be sent to a different school next year, I will not let my kids step one foot in this school or any other Roseville school ever again.
